Rayla Ray
Rayla is a true blue country girl raised in Gatesville, deep in the
heart of Texas between Waco and Temple,Tx. As a little girl
Rayla sang with her father that wrote and performed country
music himself. Her father was a  DJ at the local country radio
station in Waco. Rayla was in choir, drama and played the flute
in the band. Rayla started entering contest where she resides
now ( Mckinney,Tx ) at the local karake clubs and  the V.F.W.
She entered many contest where she won most every event she
entered. Her first big break was  a  contest for The Country Fest
in Pryor ,Ok on June 7th-10th that was sponsor by the Choctaw
Casino in Durant ,Ok. She  won her way to Pryor ,Ok. where she
placed in the top 5 at her 1st major event. Rayla then entered a
talent contest for the state of Texas which started in local
venues like Gwilkers in Arlinton, Tx. and moved to the regional
level at Hott Rodds & Hoggs of Arlington where she placed 1st
place for the state of Texas and went to national competition in
Laughlin Navada  in Sept. 2007. She performed at the Ft. Worth
Stockyards and the Cotton Bowl ( Texas vs. OU ) along with the
Nascar weekend (Texas Motor Speedway). Rayla is now  
promoted by Fred Mendosa which is also promoting events for
Twister radio 96.7 of Dallas,Ft. Worth ( New Country ) . Rayla's
biggest influences in music was 1st her father and then Artist
like Pasty Cline, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Martina Mcbride,
Gretchen Wilson and Carrie Underwood. On the Rock side
Artist like Linda Ronstadt, Heart ,Kelly Clarkson,and Pat
Benatar. Rayla loves the oldies in her father's generation ,the
Urban Cowboy era, and especially the new country (pretty much
covers all country music ). She has a natural vocal ability  that
draws the audience to her  and her stage performance is high
energy , and upbeat. Rayla has a true passion for singing as
well as performing on stage.
